 Re: Which (if any) electronic ignition Ayjay mentioned "a yellow Harley coil" is this from the Harley Davidson? Is this a good upgrade? Is it simply a plug and play application? If so I may consider if it gives a stronger spark

Re: Which (if any) electronic ignition When you stay with point, stay with the original coil too, it has worked for over 60 years now...... You just need to turn the ignition off asap when the engine doesn't run thats all..
So don't listen to your radio for instance with contact on. It can/will burn your coil or points..

The dictionary defines bodge as,1. to make a mess of
2. to make or adjust in a false or clumsy way: I bodged the figures up.
Hope that explains it a bit better ipgo.
