Have you done a compression test and made sure it hasn't snapped a ring?

I've got a big M4 reniflard if you want to try that.

I thought it might have got worn rings as it smokes like dot cotton. I don't have a compression tester unfortunately.

Would that cause it to pee out of the filler gasket? Just tried to drive to work, but it was pouring out by the gasket that seals between the filler and crank case.

I'll get a new gasket and go for the thread insert option.

How do I do a compression test?

If a ring is broken then the compression created as the piston goes up the bore leaks past the pistonj and pressurises the crank case. That in turn can cause the oil to leak out all over the place.

The gasket between the crank case and rebiflard ought to withstand that though. Have you put a straight edge across the flange on the reniflard to see if it isn't warped?
