My 1989, 1990, 1992 Minis all had points as standard. It was only the Posher stuff that had electronic ignition.

Twelve sets of points & condenser for one 123!! Definitely must be worth thinking about..............£££££££sssss less. Take some time & learn how to set up points correctly, you'll not regret it. spanners wrote: Did I mention POINTS?

setting the points is a 2 minute job, its so easy, once youve done it once itll take you 2 minutes, obviously the timing will then need doing, but that again doesnt take long at all! the only painful bit to doing the points is getting the fan off, ive mastered this, i have the nack my trick is to et my 14mm socket on the end of my 3/8ths extender bar, and position it in 4 different positions, for example north east south and west, and give it a good tap with the hammer in each position, and i keep hitting going round until eventually ping, of it comes, works every time!

What if you can't fit them your self? Labor? How many sets if paying someone to do it?
