Just took mine in for repair. Bloody thing bellows out smoke after a minute and chokes me out.

I tried adjusting it but no good. And worst thing it is only 2 months out of warranty. But bloody hell it is cold in the garage at the moment.

Spent a lot on small diesel type. Flames and fuel at start up, on restart smoked me out..
Tried it for a 2 days, took it back, as it "Not Fit For Purpose". Swapped for a Propane heater, not as cheap to run, but starts first time no problems.

Alu Pop rivets are great and maybe the only option for Blind locations, but they can work loose over time.

If you can access both sides of the work try Aircraft style rivets, they are available on Ebay along with a Rivet set and not expensive.

Rivet Set.

The car I bought, had the hinge mounted with rivets and sealant.
And it hadn't moved a mm for ten years.
There was some surface rust 10 cm from the edge in each side, but usually the entire hinge is gone in that time.

Aluminium and galvanised coatings react together.

If zinc plated steel rivets are used, that would be OK according to these folk... ;)
( Section 5A, galvanic corrosion)

Well, not galvanized.

Cromated - is that the right term?
