League, eh? Where I'm from in Yorkshire, Union is the thing, which I'm told is unusual for those parts. Feelings run so high about it that there's a painting of a past team in the bar of the clubhouse, and if you look closely at it you can see where two players, who subsequently went on to play League, have been carefully painted out. Me, I don't understand the differences ... I was a big disappointment to my Grandad, who was one of the mainstays of Otley rugby club.

It's posh up Otley way that's why you play with too many players :p

Post Re: What did you do with your A Series today?
Was a decent day yesterday (Tuesday), so decided to get the 2CV out and give it a decent run. I headed off down the M5 and M50 and ended up in deepest, darkest Wales (my home town of Merthyr Tydfil). After spending a few hours there, I headed off south on the old A470 (now the A4054) down to the M4 and crossed the Severn on the M48 Severn Bridge (Pont Hafren). After stopping for a Costa at Severn View Services I dropped in on the ARTists 2CV meeting in Bristol, and drove home back up the M5 at the end of the night. A total distance of a little over 200 miles and done with ease and without any complaint from the car. Bless it!

It sat outside the house yesterday, hating me for being a wuss and not redoing its timing in the snow. I'm not lucky enough to have a big workshop like most of you chaps seem to  The best i have is a council lock-up 25 mins drive away.

Ah well, We'll see what today's weather brings...

Took it to see a man who says I need to change a "swivel joint" before he'll say it's alright. He did cross off the need to sort out the fog lamp when I switched it on for him.

My alternator belt snapped, luckily I managed to scrounge a couple of batteries from the fella in the garage next door. Got them charged up, problem solved.

First dry, sunny and mild day since New Year so loaded up a large frame tent plus accessories to take over to a mates place, went to look at a job then came back (roof half open) the long way. 70 miles in all. Very enjoyable outing.

It's fine, just charge it up or stick another battery on. No problems.
