Post Re: The O/T thread!
I did that once, listed every job since school. The bloke interviewing me then looked at the two pages of jobs and declared that I obviously couldn't stick to anything and I didn't have the job. He was right, but he wouldn't have known if I'd only put the last couple of jobs on...

Worked in a Nursery, Japanese Students' English class and a carpet and hard flooring specialist...

Surprised all the interviewers when applying to do MechEng at uni!

How the fuck am i supposed to remember 12 years' worth of jobs, let alone start and end dates??

During the interview for my current job the interviewers ignored five years of relevant career experience and got really hung up on my GCSE's - in the end I had to be honest and point out that it was a decade since I took them and could we please move on... I still got the job!

I've made the mistake of being honest about my academic qualifications before now ... mentioned my degree and my M.Sc. The problem is that lorry drivers aren't supposed to be educated beyond GCSE level and no one in the haulage industry will believe that I'm not just playing at being a driver until it's time to take a highly paid job in the City, or whatever. In vain do I point to my fourteen years as a full time truck driver ... Nowadays I find it easier to pretend to be uneducated.
