As my merc was full of pa and bass gear from playing last night, and that we have another gig tonight in Warslow in the peak district, the BB and I had a trip around Brum today - bloody hell the q of traffic on the hard shoulder of the M6 J13 to 12 was incredible - and all that to stand in a wet field near Newport for 3 days to see the V fest.......

Locked up all four wheels in a full on emergency stop. It pulled up straight and true with four black lines and a bit of smoke. I was quite impressed. It was dry though, and in a straight line. It can catch you out the old motorway domino effect sometimes, having stopped dead, traffic then continued as normal. Weird.

Took the drummer up to b and q to pic up paint brushes. Engine still running in so stuck to an indicated 55, when I got to the 50mph restricted part had to back off to an indicated 45. Hmmm, I think my speedo is out!

No issues, roof back, waved at a red and white D*lly, possibly knightley?

Glad it isn't just us who are panicking at the last minute.

Today, I have mostly been prepping Nippy for its MOT thanks to Mike pitching up last night saying it ran out today - of course one of the front indicators has stopped working thanks to the particularly shite way they are manufactured and I spent an hour or so trying to get a current through it - the way the feed wire comes through the case to the outer connector is truly wank with the weld coming adrift when it gets rusty....grrr.

we replaced a king pin/bushes(ak van)
it was blo-dy tight, we placed a block of steel under the bottom then hit the drift with a lump hammer, the pin came out but the drift jammed itself in the hole as it had spread a bit
took abt an hour to get the drift out

Finished stripping off the underseal that some twerp decided would look good plastered over the rear seat box. Got fed up with heavy things 'melting' into it during the recent heat experienced in Yorkshire!
