Seriously the issue of rivots is only an issue for people outside France. Don't believe that more people in France are hurt or killed due to rivots being used.
If the rivots are that bad maybe think before taking a seat in any air craft flying around the every day. m

So, I've been tinkering again, replacing various panels with the faded blue celeste ones.

I've also been replacing lots of self tappers with the correct fasteners!

Sod it, have a few photos.

I also made up a plate to go between the door catch and door to dispose of the washers I'd put in there so I could close the doors. With a bit more patience, it could've probably looked quite good too!

Oh, I binned the cone air filter off in preference of a nice, quiet original plastic filter box!

I also fitted my new (really awkward to adjust from rhd-lhd ;) ) headlamps.

As for the jeans to repair your seats technique, it's so simple, I thought everybody would do it. If I'd known it was seen as being clever, Id' have shared it earlier!

Damn it, in the absence of a usable "elbow" anywhere here for the plastic airbox, I'm gonna have to refit the cone filter :( It was nice and quiet but seemed t e strangling the engine somewhat.

Had a look when I got back and found the elbow has collapsed and, when revving the engine, it's constricting. Damn and bollocks!

That's the one piece plastic/fibreglass roof I collected today. Anybody want it? I certainly don't and, I can see it's gonna get in the way pretty quickly!
