 Re: Salbris 2011
Got back last night. Had a most extra bon time. Was truly something to be just one of the 7000+ cars at the meeting. Amazing. The van did really well, the 435 worked hard but never missed a beat apart from getting a bit hot and bothered on the way back and needing a couple of coil swaps and the odd push start from Dennis.
Will get some photos up later.

 Re: Salbris 2011
Got back late last night having covered a shade under 1400 miles - 545 of them yesterday. J ran like a dream all the way. Salbris was immense, chaotic, crowded, hot, stick and fun! Really pleased to discover the warm pool next the Super U - a swim, shower, and clean toilets all for under 3 euros. Roll on Spain.

 Re: Salbris 2011
I also got back last night, having been on the same ferry as Rumble. I've been away, working and generally having a good time in France, for over 3 months, and the WM was the perfect way to end it all. I never thought WMs would get to be this big! It could have done with a bit more in the way of evening entertainment, and gestures such as a big gate were missing. But hey, it was the bigest 2cv party ever, and it was a whole lot of fun!
I did around 4,000 miles in my recently acquired Acadiane over the course of my stay in France; including a trip from Brittany to Switzerland and back into France just before the WM. All covered faultlessly:-)
The massive comedown is starting already:-(

 Re: Salbris 2011
Now that is a well written piece of journalism!!! By the way, my folks pix, http://www.spookeend.nl/citroen-meeting ... allery=170They never made it to the meeting to camp, they were not "allowed" on at first (drove 2cv vans his whole life, and ami's, still has a mehari) with the Xantia with caravan, so went elsewhere only to visit the site twice.

 Re: Salbris 2011
Why do media feel they have to mention bloody eggs and ploughed fields every time they do a write up? The car is much more than that FFS!!!
