 Re: London to Brighton
Well this thread is on a drift anyway but thought i would mention that today i went to a classic car show at Bodiam Castle in Kent. About fifty to seventy cars ranging from minis to die for yanks. The only citroens were my 2cv and my mates DS. Great renault Estaffe(?) camper type van circa 1955 and as new renault dauphine. Plus some earlier british cars from the 30s. All in all it was a fab day. The organisation was very good with a considerable number of volounteers including army cadets, St Johns, Police and about 30 marshals. There was an information centre a stage with an old rockers band(very good) Lindy Jive dancers and a group of Morris Dancers ( who i approached thinking the musician would be the famous Mr Squeezebox,,,,as they are all smeared in black you can't really tell whos who. He said he wasn't Mr Squeezebox but did i mean John with all those funny cars!!! There were probably about twenty stalls selling country fair kind of things and several stalls selling old car parts I should think all in all there were several hundred visitors to what is a family fun day in a beautiful location next to Bodiam Castle. I was thinking i wish our 2cv meets could be like this but they can't because we are a one car outfit and simply do not have the weight or money to put on something like this. The organisation behind this must have been really professional and dedicated. Don't for one minute think i deride the LtB (you will know from my opening post how much i enjoyed it) but as i haven't actually been to a 2cv meet I don't know how they compare with an event like this. Finally sorry not to post pics....i was having such a good time i forgot to take photos. For any of you who might want to check this out i beleive it is called the Senlac Car Show

 Re: London to Brighton
To be honest, being organised by Army cadets and looking round stalls selling country goods sounds about as much fun as sticking your dick in a blender. I want to go to 2cv events and drink until I fall over, make lurid comments to my friends girlfriends, letch at pretty barmaids, puke in my tent, drink drive round the site with 12 other bad-heads hanging out of my cars roof, play music loudly from the moment I wake up until the moment I collapse in a puddle of my own chunder, and generally have the sort of time I can't have anywhere else but a 2cv camp, as we always have done. Seems that plenty of people have taken it upon themselves to stop that kind of fun happening, and organising events that are the mirror opposite of that should just about hammer the last nail into 2cving as we knew it in the UK.

 Re: London to Brighton

 Re: London to Brighton
problem is (not desputing you russ) but its a mixed scene, you have people who go to church on a sunday, go to bed at 8 then theres people who think about shoving there dick in a blender, puking overa bar maids clevage just as your about to score getting the two to synchronise and go together is a bit of a mission however i would rather the puking bar maid drink drive round field bit you said russ
