 Re: 2cvs on hydrogen...?
I think LPG might be slightly more practical in the short term Though the woodgas is very interesting, I've not seen it used to power cars before - wonderful idea! I'm not planing to do anything to the van just yet, but dad has a rather scruffy bleu celest, and I've got a spare engine I want to play with... I think I might try out LPG with the megasquirt ECU and see how it goes, at the very least it would be a fun little project. And I could experiment with hydrogen at a later date as well. Where did you get the LPG injectors from? Thanks!

 Re: 2cvs on hydrogen...?
Well - I'm skint at the moment, and in any case I think I probably have more pressing concerns with my van currently, but I definitely want to give this ago. Megasquirt looks the way to go, and the kit, rather than the ready made one is much cheaper, I just need to see if I can find a UK dealer or something. Thanks!

At Citromobiel I saw a 2CV-lookalike that was build partly with 2CV parts. That was was made to run on natural gas.

 Re: 2cvs on hydrogen...?
I've just been told I'm doing an 'Extended Project Qualification' at school. I don't quite know what it is, but I gather I'm allowed to present a working prototype engine running on hydrogen, and get a grade for it! I'm just going to use a lawnmower engine for this project, looking at the prices of hydrogen cylinders, regulators, air lines and so on I think I'll make my own through electrolysis, hopefully I'll be able to get enough to run it for a few seconds. I'll let you know how it goes!

 Re: 2cvs on hydrogen...?
Make your own generator, eventually powered with a solar panel. If you got that working you got practically free fuel!
