Why not bin it off and have a camp at a race meeting?

Why don't london 2 brighton and Registers day combine? Obviously find a bigger site down south, then drive to the registers day event, making the whole parking in a park a bit more involved...

Well then it's not a London to Brighton Run is it (I know it's wembley to hove now but...)
Also Register's Day is one of the two 2CVGB annual events (3 if you count the AGM), L2B is not.

2CVGB don't really seem to like racing - there's rarely any info. at all in the magazine.

I like 2CV convoys though - hopefully we'll have some scenic tours round oxfordshire in August.

Why not do a Land's End to John o'Groats in under 24hrs? :P The Morris Minor Club do that every year(or did when I was a member, which was over 10yrs ago).

What is it? 600miles or so? Then I suppose you probably need to double or treble that to take account of getting to the start and back from the finish. So that's 1800 miles at say 40mpg = £270 in petrol for the day. hmmm.
When I got my 2CV in 1993 4* was 51.9 a litre (and still would be without the taxes!).

Good idea though.

Closer to 900-miles to be honest, though as the crow flies it's 602 :P

I'd most definitely be up for that.

Well I suggested doing it within a 24hr period so it was more of a challenge, something that was mentioned is missing from L2B. I'm more than happy to wander up in a chilled fashion. Would be a pretty cool convoy on the M5 & M6

What's racing if it's not really one big convoy though. Albeit with occasional change of leader......?

Not much fun, would rather go camp with some friends. The L2B run just dosnt do it for me. Convoys get a bit boring after a while. If its en route to a massive meeting then i'm all for that... but a massive queue to a car park in a field...
