It just all seems to have changed this last year, I went to one decent meeting in 2010, makes you lose faith in it a bit. I'm pretty sure salbris will be the shit. I want another Dunkirk/Czech to make me enthusiastic again. The scene (I hate that word but y'know what I mean) has changed and as people grow up and find other priorities it's hard to keep the devotion to an interest which then spurs you on and makes you want more. I earn almost nothing and have to spend that keeping a roof over my head and food dans la table, the tiny amount left over at the end of the week is very important to me and this last few months it's been harder and harder to justify spending it on 2cv stuff when I'm getting nothing out of it. I'm certain salbris will be the turning point though.

What is the next big meeting after Salbris/?

Nothing like the scale of a World Meeting, but the 2CVGB National is much bigger than anything else you are going to find in the UK. It's unfortunately the same weekend as Snetterton this year, which I think will limit the I2F attendance, but is generally a really good weekend with a nice laid-back atmosphere.

Oh, and don't forget the ICCCCR next year...

The next camp worth going to will be spa. Snetterton will be ace but it's ace in a different way to a full on wreckhead camp.

Hey everyone! I apologise if this has already been discussed in the thread, but I can't bring myself to skim over 27 pages worth of good WM prep!

I was wondering what peoples plans are for the night before. I've had a bit of an idea going in my head of having an overnight queue party. I'm anticipating a very long wait from 10am and so figured that we could stay overnight and have some alcohol fuelled fun. Hopefully, eventually securing ourselves a good camping spot at the same time.

I'm sure that cars waiting overnight will happen and there might be some gendarmes to move people on. It might not be worth the risk with all the campsites probably being full in the area but if we pulled it off I thought it could be a lot of fun.

What are your thoughts? Do any I2Fers already have plans?

Gate party FTW without doubt. The queue isn't an inconvenience, it's the start of the party!
