 tOWBAR wIREING I have just bought a secondhand towbar at the l-b. Does anyone know the wireing connections. I have tried to download the photo i took of the wires but keep getting "invalid file" message.
Anyway, there are 7 wires and the colours are as follows
WHITE
BROWN
RED
BLUE
GREEN
BLACK
YELLOW
Can anyone tell me what attaches to what please.

Re: tOWBAR wIREING Checks on the towbar are soon to be part of the MOT (if not already). They'll be looking at corrosion, fittings and electrics too so it'll pay to get it right. Don't forget that you need some kind of 'tell tale' on the dash, a light or a buzzer, to tell you that the indicators on the trailer are working. Must check mine before the next MOT.

Re: tOWBAR wIREING i sort of have, i was only doing the eletrics as a tempory thing and havent done anything about it since anyway the toe board i use, the wire is a foot too short so i dont bother
