 Re: My 2cv
Glorious weather, I'm roasting. Unfortunately, so is the car's alternator:-( I have no charging and it looks like the brushes have gone. I'm in the middle of nowhere so hope I can get somewhere before the inevitable happens. Guess I can't always have trouble free motoring holidays, just wish it was closer to home.

No, about 100,000 My phone's about to die, but the car is still going strong and I've driven over 150miles today.

 Re: My 2cv
Car appears to have healed itself overnight which is good, my phone was down to 4% but has now been fully charged. Today is another scorching day in Scotland

 Re: My 2cv
I saw it coming and made for the border I still seem to have an issue with the 3-point charger for my sat-nav and phone. It has a circuit that cuts power to whatever you are charging up if the power it receives has dropped below a certain voltage-so the battery can just supply power to running the car-but the car is still running okay and starts okay, too Perhaps I should have a trip to ECAS and buy a new brush set for the Iskra alternator.
