Looks good that other car, same as you already have! If you buy it, I'm interested in the headlights, complete with mountings and trimming, because I have square. And the ignitionlock and doorlock if there is a key to them. So if you get some parts for sale, remember me I need left doors and left rear wing too, but I think I'll get it from a man in Sweden. Have no idea of shipping to Norway, but how expensive can it be.... Or maybe you can bring'em too the World Meeting......

2CViking wrote: Yes I’ve read somewhere that the AMI was the first car on earth to be fitted with rectangular head lights…!!! Cheap? What is cheap? I never liked Ami cars but I’m slowly being sucked in. I’m trying to resist but think I will surrender. Wife Lorraine surrendered 5 minutes after the Ami arrived. She said ‘please fix it and take it to contrôle technique, I want it. Bloody hell, it needs a lot of work. It has been butchered inside and outside. Chassis is buggered; engine and gear box is Ami 8, no good. Well the lady has decided, she wants it, so we are now chasing 1 more in better condition. Found this yesterday and may ring to find out. http://www.leboncoin.fr/vi/49671236.htm?ca=6_sMore later I must say that from this angle, it has an evil look about it, kinda Christine Who knows, if somebody buys it, it may do a self restoration and go round mowing down pedestrians(with mowbile phones).

You are right, I see it too Haven't seen any "Christine"-behavior on my AMI though. Not any self-restauration anyway, but it has some dents on the bonnet

 Re: Ami 6
Thats why I liked the club lights on my 6 so much, it's red and its registration number was '666'

 Re: Ami 6
When is it going to stop. Just bought 1 more Ami 6 1967 and very original including surface rust all over but nothing serious except all 4 side window bottom frames. The moss must have been sitting there for years keeping it very moist. The chassis is also original and in perfect condition. Couldn’t believe it when I crawled around underneath to look for rust and found nothing. After wife had her test drive, she said I’ve name it Bételgeuse (feminine, big, slow, also a star in the northern hemisphere) No worries nice name. Lorraine is a bit upset because we will loose the painted registration number when Bételgeuse transfer from dept 35 to our dept 56. Bételgeuse will not be restored but we will upgrade engine and gear box to Ami 8 Original engine and gear box is 602 old type. It has 98.000 clicks on the meter but do not know if it has turn 0 earlier. The lady selling the Ami cried when we signed the deal. It belonged to her mother but she was happy that we would keep it as it is and that she was going to a good family. Control Technique is next, we were made aware of master cylinder, rear brakes, and maybe king pins. We saw the last CT report which mentioned these jobs to do. Bételgeuse should be fit for the world meeting, JUHUU…. Attachment:
