If it was 12, and you can't get the remains of the old one out, I would have thought you *might* get away with installing a slightly shortened new one..?
All chassis are M14 some vans and ami use a M14 shock side too and so it could cause confusion one side has a short shank the other slightly longer. @ sam however the internal thread on the chassis is probably mashed as the shank worked it way down see the marred area on the shank of the pin- you could try and beg steal or borrow an M14x? tap head unit .....looks like a wireless to me

All you need now is to dump the 602, change it to electric propulsion then you will be able to hear your ipod.

Re: Belgian built 1969 AK350 'Hetty'
The xplod units are very good. I now have identical units in both D*lly and van. using the official sony ipod adapter you can control volume, playlists, skip tracks etc... via the headunit AND via either a wireless remote or a stalk type one that you can have somewhere handy.
The xplod units also have good EQ settings so they sound really nice.
That's a GT300s - came out in 2006, cost me £30 (gone down a bit since I bought the one for D*lly - cost me £70 in '06)

Re: Belgian built 1969 AK350 'Hetty'
sam, that damper mounting pin should look like one of these. Not sure whether it would have been the larger type, as some early vans (and Amis) used the smaller (12mm bore) damper mountings. However, you may be able to figure out which way round it had been fitted, which might also explain why it broke... ken. Just seen Sean's post, all ( Citroen ) chassis mountings are M14 x 1.5 thread Citroen damper mounting studs by slcchassis, on Flickr samfieldhouse wrote: This is whats irking me about faffing around with drills, taps, centre punches and EZ outs - it's been fine all through Adrians ownership!!!!

V has the latest postage stamp with majick pictures and enough tracks on it that my hypothetical wood and breezeblock shelving unit would be straining under the equivalent in vinyl, mated to whatever this years choice at the Skoda works is, Blaupunkt or something equally teutonic. No happy its not loud enough. S
