The LNA was also fitted with the inline-4 1.1 :geek:

Not sure I agree with you there.

The 1.1 LNA is quick and very economical, with 60.1mpg quoted at constant 56mph. Round town its north of 45mpg and mine has an econoscope which flashes lights at me angrily if I hoof it.

Having driven both LN and Watercooled LNA, they feel completely different. The 602cc LN is not really good for motorway use with 60mph being the fastest the one I borrowed seemed happy to do. The springs are softer on the LN too so its a more wallowing ride, its a real bimbling car and you can imagine trundling down the D roads in France at about 80 / 90kph, its a bit like a short arse Ami 8 in that respect.

The 1124cc LNA which was essentially a rebadged Pug 104Z coupe feels like a totally different car, nippy and with good handling. 70mph motorway cruise is no issue as the 50hp engine hasn't got much body to lug about.

In Europe the LNA was available in 652cc and 1124cc flavours although we in the UK only got the 1124cc car. The LNA didn't sell great here as it was priced the same as the Visa so for the same money you could have two more doors and rear legroom. However the LNA is great for round town and can be squeezed into spaces you'd just not consider since its only 11 foot long.

I wasn't sure at first but now I love my LNA which has been named "Cry Baby" by my other half.

:-)

I admire your loyalty, it is still a dreadful car and is in the same league as an Austin Metro.
