Post 145 Tyres hitting swing arms
So I trial fitted the 145s on the Van today and on full lock, the tyre sidewall squeaks against the swing arm.

Should I worry about this? It's not like I'm gonna be driving on full lock a lot is it.

It ain't going to do the tyre much good if you do go lock to lock. There is a stop adjuster to prevent this. Just wind it out a bit.

MOT fail. At least I had one fail on it. Just wind the lockstop out a bit.

Just the fact it was a 145 tyre would fail a French CT, touching or not touching.

Really? why's that?

Is that the massive nut on the side of the King Pin houseing?

Am I ok to run 145's? It's not dangerous or anything?

They are very fussy about a vehicle having the correct specification tyre on. When 125's became difficult to get my local CT station took advice from the DRIRE [people who make and enforce the rules] as to whether he could pass my car on 135's. They could and now do.

Look at the tyres on my car...

It's the not-very-massive-at-all-bolt on the end of the arm, yes. Look at it when you turn the steering onto full lock and you'll see what it does.

Does anyone on here run 145's on a standard suspension?

Wondering how they behave.

In theory, straight-line grip should be improved, but not sure about in sharp corners where the geometry might affect it? Or are they susceptible to tram-lining even on the straight?

I have done, and to be honest, there's not much difference in how it feels if you drive it about like a granny, if you rag the tits off it I found it had a bit more grip, but wasn't as nice as a 125 was for lightness of steering and actual handling.
