Advice please, on how best to remove the glass rear quarter panel (2cv).
Remove the glass and rubber as one unit/glass only? Working from outside/inside?

Work at the inside, make the rubber loose with your fingers or screwdriver, the rubber is sticky somtimes go all the way round.

Put a glove on..... Work from the inside to the outside, start at the smallest edge. first put one hand (with the glove) at the glass, put some pressure on your hand maybee 5 kg or so spread your hand. Now peal the rubber to the outside with your other hand giving steady pressure to your hand at the glas.
Work from the smallest edge to the left 20cm, go then to the right 25cm go from left 10cm and so on.
When nearly finished release the pressure from your hand. The last edge you can do with pulling at the glass and the rubber.

as ive got reasonibly big feet i used my foot with a big boot on, and a friend to catch the window as it flew out (well came out) work the seal out, which ever method you choose to use to push it out spread the load as not to crack or break the glass, and like i said, a second pair of hands is useful

or put a hammer through it

Start at the top, lever the rubber out a bit at a time (from the inside) working down. I've used about 4 large screwdrivers wrapped in gaffer tape tp protect the paint in the past and never broken a window yet.

The glass is really strong compared to your expectations.

Whe you put the window back in, put lots of waxoyl around the frame. It'll stop water sitting there causing rust and help you get the window in easily - even if it does make a bit of a mess.

i wd'ed the seal and it slid straight in, however i was told it wasnt a good idea (after i had done it!!)

im going to take mine outsoon and wax oil them, never thought of thatone sam!!!
