 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
You will know the difference if you try to fit rectangular headlamps on a narrow headlamp bar. All is fine until you try to close the bonnet.

 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
It looks so much better then a new one: your rightabout that. It's almost the same as with an old Landrover with the headlights in the grill, insted of the front fenders to me it looks very cool . but now I'm very of topic. I think I do this to my new 4x4. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2301

 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
download/file.php?id=2907&t=1Shit: I can see seatbelts !!!!! time is going way to fast for me....... I was just joking but this is the nicest of all on this forum. Someone puts instantly pics of a 2cv with square headlamps and seatbelts. I love this forum very much. Russel don't close it please (see the relevant topic)

 Re: Narrow headlight bar ?
There was a Beige 2cv at the French National this year with a narrow headlamp bar and square lights, it looked strange, as in it was immediately obvious what had been done (unlike when a narrow bar is fitted with round lights). and there was no concievable way of opening the bonnet without damaging something.
I cut 35mm off each end of my headlamp bar, combined with the wider track and lower stance it makes the wings look wider and rounder, less 'upright' and boxy. (I know boxy isn't the right word).
I think it should be a more common modification, it's almost undetectable yet changes the appearance for the better for no expenditure whatsoever. You can't ask for more than that.

Must be a French thing of trying to make old 2cvs look newer, like the modern tail lights we found on Stephan's '64
