also i had great problems getting the wheels so they werent crooked and.or wobbly, teacher said stick aalastic bands round to make it no wobble, that looked shit i told her (which is actually what i said) (my teacher was awesome, i saw her the other day and told her what a c**t i thought the head of product design was, she agreed in her yorkshire accent) and so i wanted to get it perfect, no alastic bands, and i managed!

That little E-2CV is brilliant, I think you'd get plenty of attention at an international meet with that!

Post Re: My GCSE project!
I've just been talking to the chap who used to teach me DT at Ansford, apparently it's still sitting in a garage somewhere, and the care takers are getting annoyed. I was rather hoping they would forget about it, as I don't have anywhere to put it...

So, erm... Electric GCSE 2cv project for sale! :D

Really, does anyone want it? I can probably find somewhere temporary to put it, but there's no way I can keep it long term, and it would be a shame for it to get thrown away. I'll see if I can go back into school at some point and get some more pictures of it.
Because I was so rushed to get it finished in time it is rather scruffy, the welding is ugly, the rear wings awful, the front wings bent at the wrong angle and so on. It's very small, the youtube vid is me in there, a couple of years ago (And I'm quite flexible!) so only small children could really drive it. I don't know what the batteries are like, they came from the school 'green car' so have probably been fairly abused, but they're lead acid, so should go on for a bit. The motor, electrics, differential and brakes should all be fine, pinched from an electric scooter and ride on lawnmower. The steering is a bit dodgy, but I've since found some proper rose joints I can put on there.
It can either go just as it is, or if that's no good I can do the bits of work needed on it, tidy it up and give it another coat of paint. But one way or another it has to go. I might be able to trailer it to the national, or any other event I'm going to, but probably not far (have to persuade parents, as I'm not insured on any car with a tow hitch :( )

Any takers? :P

Mine was a bird table with heated bird bath section, and a series of electrodes up the post to stick 200kv across a squirrel trying to climb it to steal the food. You have to love camera flashes...

Sadly I don't think I have any photos of the thing.
