The run itself is a day event on the Sunday (starting early ish at the London end).

However, camping is available all weekend at the Plough PH in Lower Beeding, which is where some people stay overnight before heading up to the London start point, and then retire to if desired after finishing the activities in Hove park. So although the event itself is a day only, the social side can last for the whole weekend!

LONDON TO BRIGHTON RUN 2009

Sunday May 3rd starting as last year at Apps Court Farm, Walton-on-Thames - off Hurst Road (A3050), KT12 2EG. Arrive from 9am for departure from 10am. Refreshments and loos available at the start. Finish yet again at the north end of Hove Park. Starters from Apps Court Farm will also receive a FREE RAFFLE TICKET to win a year's free 2CVGB membership!

Cost £5 per car in advance and £8 per car on the day. Cheques payable to 'South Downs Escargots' to Maurice Dilley, 46 Castle Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN13 1DQ. PLEASE SEND WITH SAE by 17th April.

Camping available over the weekend, Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May at the Plough, Lower Beeding, as last year - about 20 miles north of Brighton. Camping at the Plough costs £5 per unit per night. Camping is also available at Apps Court Farm on Saturday 2nd May at £7 per unit.

Fish and chips on Friday evening £7.95 and Pig Roast on Sunday evening £5 PER PERSON - both need to be booked in advance. Please contact Maurice or Sue.

Traders welcomed at Hove Park at very reasonable charges. Please get in touch.
