so full-synthetic is okay in our engines - just too good, some say????

Of course it is. My mind struggles to comprehend the concept of oil stopping engine wear too effectively.

what is the difference between semi and fully synth?

ive always stuck to haynes manual, so ised semi synth when i serviced ealier on in year..

The last time I used cheap mineral oil my engine blew up, the car exploded, my girlfriend left me and my house burnt down.

It's ok, there's no such thing as 'too good', but maybe unnecessarily good, they're designed for modern engines that place higher demands on their oils compared to our 'classics'.

But read up on it and make your own mind up.

Personally I tend to put 10w40 semi-synth in everything.
