Luminition Instructions,

remove from box
check all components
open bin
chuck all items in bin
search ebay for 123 ignition
feel satisfied.

;)

I've had Luminition on my car since 1997 ....its never given me any trouble at all [I've never touched it since I fitted it]
Which is more than can be said for a lot of 123 systems I've heard about.

best regards
Terry [feeling very satisfied]

Quite. I removed the 123 and fitted a lumi kit on my dyane, the 123 was giving way too much advance for the 9:1 engine.

Last time I heard about the car, the kit was still installed and working well - 7 years since it was fitted (and a decent mileage too)

I rest my case.

of course you are entitled to your opinion, but whereas I've heard nobody who has given away a working 123 system for me to try instead of forking out for a brand new unit, I have spoken to a few who have thrown them in the bin after wasting over a ton in readies.

I shall of course be happy to let you know how I get on either way.

My box bit is mounted on the inner wing bertie. It may well be worth your while mounting it on the firewall as suggested. Would make getting that wing off slightly easier.

I've never had cause to consider buying 123 as my luminition has never faltered.

feel satisfied...... for about a week or two
then when the 123 clone is pinking and only starting on one cylinder..curse the fact that the council came and eptied the bin and realise youve lost the most relaible of aftermarket ignition systems and wasted £100 on something that doesnt really work that well after all, just because some feckless folk that couldn't get their cars to run on points swear by them.

mr white
mount the controller up on the bulkhead well away from any stray heat, oil and ht interferance.

Paul,
best keep your head down a while longer...

I'm still trying to remember where I read a comment by someone who'd been on a 2CV technical course...
He mentioned that the (brand new) 123 unit which he was given to install didn't work and that there was a fair bit of head scratching before the reason for a lack of sparks was diagnosed.

Now, was it on this forum, or 2CVGB, or in print elsewhere?
