Max.
One of the reasons for creating this forum was because we had become bored of reading about mundane day to day stuff on the forum we used to frequent. - We are more interested in the cars & the scene rather than about caring for chickens or what book you've been reading. We (myself, Max & Russell) are about the love of A-series Citroens & promoting their continued use.

C'mon you lot, stop sitting on the fence. (Another suggestion - a 'smiley' with tongue sticking out.)

 Re: Suggestions.
(look closely) I think OT should stay as is, tranisent and narrow, and I think a snail delivery "subforum" will be good.

 Re: Suggestions.
any chance of a 'like' or 'love' button so you can click rather than having to leave a 'wot he said' etc answer?

I'll second that, it's a far better forum for keeping the off topic threads separate. That's not to say thread drift isn't good though, as it's actually quite funny sometimes and is an entirely different thing. Above all avoid the cliquey situation that developed in the other place where for example one person had around 5000 posts, 4500 of which I'm sure merely said 'Whoo-Hoo' The weathers grim today and my chickens dont like it as it makes their run all muddy. It also means we cant mow the lawn ....so thats a shame.... ...bugger it then.... thats enough small talk from me for this year.... Whoo-Hoo !!! I have to say that whilst I may have been guilty of going off topic, the reason I have come back to using this place is that its mainly about 2CV stuff. I only just joined face book and share that with several of you (others welcome!) from 2CVing and many others from all my other interests...so its general stuff there, and when I want to talk about other things I will do that with those interested in them. Unless you want me to create a Morris Dancing, Building, Chicken or trombone playing thread here ? Nerr.....this place is brill because its 2CV based and the banter and fun level is just spot on alongside the fantastic technical and historical stuff. As I have said before Neil, Max and Russ you did a great job setting this up and modding it since and all the rest of you are great people to talk about the passion we share.....its bad enough we have to accomodate D*lly owners (yes I know I can speak....give me some Sandtex and a bog brush!!) To be honest I have been visiting here again recently because I want to share my 2CV stuff. My local club has folded, there are so very few local 2CVers and I am here to share my love of these dam things with people who feel the same. It is of course down to the flounders of this place to direct it as they wish, but I am personally here for A series stuff and hope this place stays focused mainly on that...I am now of course resisting the temptation to create a new thread all about something totally irrelevant, but feel I would get spanked! Whoo-Hoo

 Re: Suggestions.
I usually use the "view active topics" and "view unread posts" links at the top of the page to see what's new, but if something new or recent is in the "2cv Raids" forum they don't appear when those above links are clicked, which is strange. Mods got any idea why this happens? Not a big problem or anything, just strange.
