ben, that's correct. Tbh, I wish they'd never adopted the Kent cam or the Weber carb (which has been introduced this year) and I don't think I'm alone in that sentiment... ken

I'm looking at the 1 lap difference from the car in front and the 10 lap gap to the leaders. It's HIGHER than your road car...

There was one car on the grid with standard springs. Basingstoke college. Check where they finished.

 Re: Snetterton 24 Hour
Also, the driver who may or may not have left the handbrake on wasn't used to the handbrake on that side of him as he's german, and it was just before 4am. I reckon that's a good enough excuse.
What's suprising is that two of our drivers had never driven a 2cv before, the third had only driven lhd 2cvs too. Our fastest driver, the speed youth Graham has never raced cars before, although he's a bit of a karting star. None of them missed gears, or caused any damage that can usually be associated with racing drivers who haven't done 2cvs before. It'd be great to see what they could do with a bit more time behind the wheel.

Cheers at an educated guess:- standard 2cv6 box -well thats essential standard 2cv engine block and crank, 9:1 pistons,2;1 tuned exhaust, standard M28 inlet manifold with solex for Alex and rentboys(some may have used the club webber kit some started on webbers but changed), shortened barrels, club camshaft',single piece stainless inlet valves, un filled heads( i think) and (theoretically) standard tappets, double springs (probably), lumenition and harley type coil. when the webbers got going they seem fast tho prone to water ingestion when it rains and run very thirsty. food for thought? you gonna come play soon? standard car? Sean Thanks Sean. DON'T tempt me, I would love racing + setting up the beats as I did as a kid doing 2cv cross. Is it allowed to build your own 2cv6 box or must it be a straight 6 box. When we raced the crosser, we emphasized reliability rather than speed + staying away from trouble. Had a couple of wins but often someone rammed your rear and took you out, bugger. If I can find the money and time maybe next season. Attachment:

 Re: Snetterton 24 Hour
Bloody hell Neil, I'm all hot now Don't know how to find time. Raid Africa and World meeting 2011 and Raid Australia 2012 Maybe 2013 if I put it in my diary now. Thats plenty of time to get a racer ready, no stress. Will come over for a weekend for a look. Cheers
