Post Salbris World Meeting. One year to go!
What are peoples thoughts on this? Obviously I'm excited, it's a world meeting innit? But after a really poor French national, is that what we're to expect from French meetings now? Will it be a dissapointment after Czech? Will it make Czech look rubbish? Will it be so massive there's just not space? How many cars are going to turn up? 3000? 4000? 7000?

I'm thinking of not going to this one, but to go to the Portuguese meeting and drop into Mangualde on the way there or back. I'm also wanting to do the German meeting, so..... :? Who knows.

I shall probably be going but won't be giving any thoughts until next spring. Plenty of other things to occupy my mind until then. Excited? Err, no. Curious, yes.

If it's as "really poor" as Giel, we'll be happy. We enjoyed Giel.

You weren't at Most or Dunkirk though, were you? I Promise if you had been, giel would have been a let down. The French national at salbris was good, so hopefully the addition of another 2000 odd cars which is what I expect will only make it better.

No. But I've been to plenty of corkers - Paris and Rochefort 50th were a fantastic couple of events, especially given they were in the same year...

I'd have given Giel probably a 7 out of 10. Other events may well have been 10 out of 10 - doesn't make a 7 bad. Berck, now that was probably a 4. Hell, I even enjoyed Kelso.

Indeed.

Hopefully it'll be pretty good. The French Nationals are organised by a single regional group but I think the WM will be more of a joint effort (?) so hopefully the organisers will be able to draw from a good pot of experience.

It's often difficult to see how a particularly good meeting can ever be matched, or surpassed, but I always make sure I arrive at an event with an open mind.

It will be orite. Stop worrying. Half of an event is the people... If people don't go then its gonna be rubbish.
Different organisers to what did the Giel meeting. Salbris was a good meeting last time.

Ill be going.
