 Re: Exhaust clamps
Gotta say I do like those Burton Clamps. Hmmmmm. But I'm driving a leak free not blowing exhaust set up right now. If I was replacing crossbox etc, i'd be very tempted by a set. I guess they are almost infinitely reusable?

 Re: Exhaust clamps
They're on. It's quiet. I don't think I've ever heard Sparky so quiet.
There's still what might be a tiny blow from the manifold-to-heat exhanger by the alternator (difficult to tell - I can't feel any gas blowing out, but that's largely because of the alternator), and there's a pinhole in the swan-neck right up to the clamp (I think a little smear of goop has got that one). But it's quiet.
Top tip - even if the swan-neck isn't blowing, do not be tempted to leave it on. No _way_ was the crossbox-to-exchanger on that side going to mate up without it.
But - yep, they are worth every single penny.

 Re: Exhaust clamps
Just had to change the swan neck. As I had no exhaust paste, I thought I'd give the copaslip tip a go. Job done. Leak free first time.

 Re: Exhaust clamps
Copaslip is great. I've just read this on an eBay listing; Quote: Now I don't recomend it but I know a Japanese rally team mix it with oil and use it in the engine.

 Re: Exhaust clamps
Never mind that, have you seen his prices? £5.40 for 100g tube. A two-sec google finds it for about half that for a tube or a very similar price for a 500g tub...
