Post Poor Starting and hesitation
My 2cv is being a bit of a pain to start when cold but then after a run it will be even harder to start again when hot have tried 3 diffrent coils but still the same. The car will also not pull away from junctions to well some times and the other day it did try to run on slightly. Would I be right in thinking im best of checking the points and timing they were all new valeo ones fitted about 600 miles ago ish also car isnt pinking at all.

I did think it may be that took the hose off top of carb to see if it was acelerator pump but thats squirting ok and fuel filter seems to be pretty full of fuel I do have other carbs I could try. Just thourght Id ask here before going nuts changing stuff over and fiddling.

Timing, nice clean air filter, proper plug gaps, no shit in the carbs, decent plug leads.....

2-4-6 rule

tappets 0.2 points 0.4 timing 6* and see what happens

running on is cause the engine is too hot , pickup is timing or carb /induction leak. starting probs is tappets if the coil is good

s......gin is good
Edit:
OOps indeed...too much gin

2-4-6-8 tappets 0.2, points 0.4, PLUGS 0.6 and timing at 8* is the sort of factory default setting to get it running.. after that its tuning it to your own likes.

and hesitation id look for inducvtionm leak, starting could be the tappets and it runs on cause alltogrther its too hot( leak again)
