 Re: Much sympathy...
Sorry to see this. Get well soon Roo. That's a lovely Dyane (even now), and you should fight hard to be able to save it. Much worse has been put back on the road.

Cheers, when I find out what they say, I think I might be looking for advice on how to deal with the insurance.

There's a very strong risk that they'll call that a CatB write-off - which means it MUST be crushed. Even if it's a CatC, there's the hassle factor of a buy-back and post-repair identity check, and the fact that any pay-out (less salvage) is quite likely to be outweighed by the loss of NCB and increase in premium for the next five years. I think I'd be very tempted to shut up about it, and see how much the farmer might want for fixing his wall. You know what farmers and cash are like...

 Re: Much sympathy...
Well, they are involved now, it's with their recoverer. I'm really not concerned about my NCB on a 140quid premium. It's an agreed value if it comes to the worse case, and I didn't hit the wall, I went over it. The car was recovered through a hole someone else made, so the farmer is OK. Apparently there is a possible option for buy back for parts only as well.
My priority for now though is to find a way to cough without it hurting so much!

Furry muff, but don't forget about the "Umm, yes, I made a claim for a collision that was my fault" effect on the premiums for any other policies, too. Only just seen this post. Sorry to hear about the bump Roo, but I'm sure you'll have the car sorted again soon if possible. Get well soon mate.
