ooooh isnt this a wonderful topic eh ;)

yes, as harry has already mentioned, poppy will be having a very similar set up!

which will consist of, flexipipes off the heat exchangers, o/s swan neck cut and rewelded, torpedo each side, but i may try the 2cvcity *sports* silencer, aparently louder, the main difference between my twins and harrys, are that i wont be having tail pipes... not at the moment anyway, i'll be having side pipes on each, saves having to fabricate brackets onto the chassis, plus something i noticed, harrys lack of foglight due to an exhaust pipe in the way ;) not that i ever use it that much! side pipes obviously create more interior noise, but im happy with that!

bring on the burble!

I usually mount my foglight on the back of the rear wing above the bumper. This means it's not vulnerable to being knocked off every time I go over a kerb fully loaded.

Post Re: Twin exhausts.
Call me anal but I have done an awful lot of reseach on exhaust systems on modified and standard 2cv and visa motors with the help of some very clever people and expensive kit and there is a theory behind it, believe it or believe it not and its not that louder is more powerful.
The Citroen cross box is a very clever piece of kit considering the cost, packaging and age of the design. With out question the best power for money is a modified (emptied out) cross box with no side silencer. this has been proved for years, best power AND torque (and lets not forget it's lovely and light, power to weight boys, remember that, its important)
It's so clever in fact that even spending £700 plus on a stainless 2-1 system only netted a small increase in power and torque was about the same. I guess its what you want at the end of the day, I personally want to go kick arse with the quickest car I can build on a budget and hear The Smith's on me stereo.

Or, on the other hand, there's a 2cvCity "sports" silencer...

So are any of the different brands/designs of crossbox better/worse than others?
