Post Twin exhausts.
Just an idle question this one. Has anyone ever fitted two single exhausts to a modified cross-box? If so how did it run? and what did it sound like?

Russ will tell you all about my twin straight pipes off the crossbox.

Infact. Tim will tell you who was 4/5 cars behind.

Ooow! I'd just like to hear what separate exhausts (silenced  ) sound like, it might be an interesting sound, that's why I mention it. Unsilenced I can imagine! :D

Harry is currently running two pipes. But has got rid of the crossbox. His is very loud from the back, its not to loud from the inside.

Max's van was great. For 5 minutes, when the novelty wore off. After 45 minutes, there was no novelty at all.

harrys is good, doesn't seem to affect how the engine behaves, not noticeably anyway.

  I LOVE MY EXHAUST PIPES!

Don't get any problems with the running of the engine and if anything it gives me higher revs.

From each of the heat exchangers I have flexi pipe straight to the swan necks (o/s modified - cut, turn 180 degrees and weld) and from there it's standard exhaust pipes to the back including torpedo silencers ... easy ;)

Loud! Yes it is, but as max said not in the drivers seat, you can hammer down the motorway without needing ear plugs like some modified exhausts. Also it's only really loud when you nail it so driving through towns if you take it easy it's not bad.

Joe is currently building a similar setup for his atm

With twin pipes, the engine may rev out better, however I'd expect there to be a loss of torque lower down the range, mostly because of lower exhaust gas velocity and reduced 'extractor effect'.

Unfortunately, that loss would be in the rpm range most often used in daily driving.

No gain, without pain somewhere else...

Ken would it be the same story if a modified (twin outlet) crossbox was used as well?
