I like plastic grilles, but only when they look like this:

They are better quality than they were. Regular polishing is needed as Rus said, the winter salt kills them.

It's amazing just how... different... such small changes make it look. They change the whole proportion, visually - much lower and wider. I'll try to dig a pic out, unless anybody's got one from Giel or elsewhen? <edit: better than nothing...>

Re: Anyone bought/seen this ali grill?
Thanks all - that's it settled then, I'm having one...
I was just worried that 'agricultural' meant that the 'finish' of the casting was a bit, er, lumpy. I really like the chunky look of it. The big chevron grill is also really smart, but the 3-bar does it for me by a margin.
It says it comes 'anodised' and cannot therefore be polished. Does the anodising keep it corrosion free for a fair time?
Cheers again.

Re: Anyone bought/seen this ali grill?
Agricultural just refers to them being crudely made I think. Mine's a 60's original I bought in France around ten years ago, and I've put it on every car I have had. It's bent, buckled, and slightly pitted but looks no better or worse than a six month old one will anyway.

Polish it, and you'll eventually wear through the plated layer.

Big chevron ally type only way to go IMHO.
