That's looking very tidy now. Where's the meet up with all those 2cv's?

The 2cv line up was in the car park of a restaurant in Lymm (near Manc airport) where the "Manchester Ducks" group met this afternoon for a very nice lunch. You should come along to one of the monthly meetings.... 2nd wednesday of every month. Can't remember the venues adress but its in Cheadle Hulme, south manc.

Heres a few pointless pics. I went to town with the polish this afternoon... I think it's arse looks alot better than it did with all the stickers on. Also ordered a set of french plates this afternoon. I tried to make the figures look like they were in the french order i.e III II II . I know this is probably quite illegal and that they are letters and not numbers on the end of the plate, but I think it'll look quite cool. I would love to slam it 8-) , but I doubt I'll be able to do that before it's properly mine (in the next few months) as my dad is still using it for work.(C3 coil pack injectors gone for the third time in 6 years - £500 + bill

That's looking very tidy. I'm quite jealous of your lack of rusty bits.

Post Re: '88 red spesh
The other day while trying to locate a knocking from the left front wing, I was obviously bouncing the car up and down and the bonnet literally fell off. The hinge on the bonnet had been dodgy for a while, with it making a horrid clicking metally noise everytime you lifted it. Anyway, everytime I attempted to open the bonnet again after I had put it back on, it completely off it's hinge. I found the solution with a hammer... At first I tried to crimp the entire hinge on the car upwards, giving the bonnet less room to slip about in. I realised I was being too gentile so got the hammers out. A few taps and it was sorted. It also took alot of paint off with it so will have to repaint this area in the near future. Still not found this frigging knocking noise though... It isn't kingpins and is deffo the inner wing hitting something. At first I thought it was suspension arm, but no... any ideas?

It's weeks like these that remember what a fun car the 2cv is... Went a hoon to the video shop earlier... Roof back, 101 power ballads blasting out of it, no bonnet on(maybe not a good idea) but there was no coppers around

Ok enough of me babbling on about nothing for now... It's amazing what you can write when you are trying to avoid english lit revision

:o The removal of doors may be a "grey Area", but the removal of the bonnet is most certainly frowned upon by the law-If you happen to hit a pedestrian, the consequences are quite unbearable to think about. ;)

I was thinking more about the fact it didn't have a number plate on the front, but now you mention that... whoops... :o
