My flat cap and wax are still in J ready and waiting. But now I'm having a trouser crisis.

Moleskins or Corduroy?

Ideally I'd get a proper old school pipe, briar walking stick and a Lurcher to complete the look.

Has anyone got a copy of the registration sheet in English? I've printed the French one out but I'd love to have one I understand too.

Is there anybody minus a ride wanting to go to this? I could do with cost-sharing. Looking to head out on Monday 10th and come back the following Sunday or Monday, whichever.

Don't believe there was an English version of the booking form. I booked at last years national, and the paperwork was French then. Just use an online translator.

I want to drag my Combi-Camp over to the FN, but want to do it as cheap as possible. If I get a 2am crossing, when I get over to France can I legally use an Aire to get some much needed zeds, by opening the trailer-tent and using it?

You can, but the Aires close to the channel ports are not the nicest places to be at night on your own. There are lots of dodgy types wanting to steal from you and the like.

You are better to get off the beaten track to a small village. Most have municipal camp sites that are free at this time of year. If they are not just be up and away before anyone sees you.

Hmm..going on that would i be sleeping with one eye open and a wheelbrace in my hand if i stopped at the Dieppe quay one :| Would definately not fancy calais-dunkerque areas but hadnt really thought of Dieppe being that :?
Maybe i should get down the road a bit before pulling up then.
