Why is it country casuals? Council casuals would be easier, trackys, Nikes and a hoodie.
(i still think trackys should not be worn out in public)

 I'll leave you at Dover then  I think we'd make it to trouville on the monday easy it's only 2hrs38mins and then have 2 nights there  even if we go all round the coast it's 4hrs35mis thats a good day driving

Sounds like a plan that harry - just found the campsite on streetview. Check their website. they do TITHOMES! I'll be on the midday boat, so should still make it easily.
What time are you guys heading to Dover, and from where? I'm pondering aiming for an earlier boat is it about 7am?
