 Re: Towing with a 2cv?
I took this unbraked Erde and bike on the back bumper to Sweden and Czech. My pal who has the Ami towed the caravan (braked) and apart from being even slower on the takeoff there were no real issues. Even with 2 adults and 2 children in the car and luggage on the trailer roof rack I could get to 60mph. Cylinder head and oil temp was higher tho.

 Re: Towing with a 2cv?
That looks exactly like the ERDE/DAXARA I was looking at.....I think it is the DAXARA 127 (different number erde but the same trailer).....Very nice and light, seems to look OK too, if it handled well on a long trip like that I have no need to worry.
Thanks

Thanks The trailer I have is an Erde 101 which could be the same as the Daxara 127. The wheelbase is within that of a 2CV so once moving you really don't know it's there. Interestingly on hills there is more inertia so fully laden small crests can be accomplished without changing gear. By the way if you get one and you need a spare wheel (comes in handy if you get a puncture) I have a few here that I could swap for a beer or two!
