i saw the Ds on flashforward! i was going to mutter something about the ugly US headlights but mum was in the room and would have given me a funny look and made out she knew what i was on about...

THERE WAS A 2CV ON FIFTH GEAR THIS MORNING!!!! lol... was a white spesh with a lovely "frome 2cv" numberplate and some rusty wheels! was some thing about cheap insurance etc.... same episode when they had girls aloud and sarah nicely stuffed a race spec ferrari into the back of a grand voyager....

2CVs live at Mallory Park
Motors TV live racing from Mallory Park, Sunday May 16 - Classic 2CVs will feature on this unique live televised racing!

A unique and new style of club race meeting, promoted by Magnus Laird in association with the BARC, will be shown live on Motors TV - Channel 413

Sixteen 10 minute races, featuring eight different classes including 2CVs, The Motors TV live event is a round of the 2cvparts.com 2010 championship, If you can't come along and watch, stay at home with your feet up and watch it on Motors TV.

At the moment we have 24 cars booked into race - as its a 10 minute race, it will probably be one of the best races of the season :o

Post Re: 2CVs on TV
i was channel flicking today

happend to stop around the discovery channels... because i saw scrapheap challenge! i was all excited cos i love it...

the first thing i see is a beat up grey charleston... they were trying to tip it up the b*******s :(

then they wheeled it into their make something up area and decided they no longer needed it... so they started trying to prise the doors open with a prybar!!!! then when that failed, one guy took a huge hammer to the door and the window came open! and i started shouting, YOU DONT NEED TO HIT IT, JUST REACH TO THE FRONT OF THE DOOR AND OPEN IT!!!! and then i was like... fuck this and turned it over!

the car had already been badly damaged on the offside and wings all seemed beat up... or just made to look bad! the shell actually looked very good, as did a few panels, the odd smashed window etc... but it was alot better than some ive seen!

but just to make all that better... i drove past a D*lly on the way to work today! gave him a beep and he waved back to me :D

and Pops attracted a fair bit of attention whilst parked outside yesterday! she wasnt on tv... but she was on ccTV for 8 hours ;)

On the other hand, i think that may have been the episode, when I was looking for my first car, that inspired me to stop looking at DAFs and Trabants, and to look at 2CVs instead! :D
