Hi Simon, hope you are well. I had heard you had a nasty bump in a ZX recently. You OK?

Hi all,
I bought my grey/red D*lly a.k.a. Alex some four years ago and have since spent way too much time and money on getting her into her present condition. She had her front end taken off 15 months ago by an MPV driven by a stranger who was lost in Manchester and just wanted my bit of the road. This prompted rebuilding (again) this time with a Ken Hanna chassis (recommended) plus just about everything forward of the A post including engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes ,steering box and suspension. Alex is used regularly and is every bit as comfy as my C5 over distance so I doubt I'll ever sell her as the grin factor's just too great.
For my part, I'm now semi-retired and enjoy motorcycling, travel, reading walking and four grandchildren who doubtless think I'm also old enough to have needed rebuilding at least once but somehow no-one's ever got around to it and besides, the spares aren't as readily available!!
I started the Manchester Ducks local group last September and we have 30 members +/- in and around Manchester. We meet at The March Hare Pub in Cheadle Hulme every 2nd Wednesday of the month and have an active social calendar. Everyone will be made very welcome. For directions/information please mail me.
Hope this is of interest to some of you on this very wide-ranging and lively website.

Welcome to the forum, Tony.

Your D*lly certainly looks very smart indeed - definitely worth time & money.

Thanks for the compliment. Can you have a word with "Senior Management" who thinks that my expenditure on Alex signals early dementia?
Cheers.
