You can't see much from the photo's of Ben's AZU, but it's got very nice quilted calico insulation in it. A bit trickier to do than carry-mats I guess, but it looks good and it's got the advantage that condensation isn't a problem!

Hi Russ,
I used an old roll mat as a roof liner in winter for a few years, seemed to make a difference. What about the condensation if you're sleeping in the car all night, may make your stuff damp (probably no more than a tent though)?
Regards,
Bill.

Progress so far:

Wooden panels made for the bed and storage compartments.

Image

This panel will be cut down a bit and a sub box built into it, and hinged so that I can keep all my tools and spares in the spare wheel well in the boot..

Image

Tonight I made the rest of the covers and wooden panels.

Image

And built these two plastic stacking tubs under the bed, one for clothes and one for food/utensils.

Image

Discovered that an iPod touch fits perfectly and securely between the two knobs on the dashboard, meaning I can watch all my favourite programs and films as I drive along.

Image

Replace the small cold garage with a nice vista of french countryside at sunset or something. You get the idea.

Looks ace inside and out, cant wait to see it finished. Those pics in the snow, you'd hardly tell it was a car with sealed back windows which is good, it looks like a van.
