Pony,
doesn't it depend on which year an Ami was put together, since Citroen seem to have been very fond of swapping the spring sizes around every couple of years?

trying to identify some stronger springs for Russ, but every one I've checked so far has had front and rear springs chosen from Citroen's bottomless 'pick and mix' box.
Even when the lengths were similar, the wire diameters and number of turns varied.

ha!
that ties with what id found a couple of years ago when trying to check spring sizes for Chris Stuart

all of my cans were ment to be 2cv/late dyane with perhaps an early ami as the joker in the pack so by the book all had the same springs
couldnt make a pair but it was just an excersise as all i was doing was getting decent cans and tie rods for DC's racer

Apart from that not having the extra side panel seam.

That one is for the Argentine market, is it not?

I wasn't denying the existence of AK 400's, but Ade's is an AKS 400.

So, to cut a long story short, I'm wasting
my time going about asking for springs from anything specific? I might just buy harder shocks and go with it as it is.

Nope,
don't give up yet... ;)
I've still got another 4 or 5 cans to open up, so might have a clearer idea of which ones would yield some stronger rear springs after that surgery's done.

There was an Ami Super chassis complete with cans that popped up on Ebay about a month ago, but that was pulled as soon as I started watching it.
Curious, or should that be 'Classic'?

( I'm not too sure that relying on stronger dampers to stiffen the ride is the best plan. Won't the rubber bushes take a bit of a pounding, for starters? )
