In my 4x4 one of the speakers is on the transfer box and still works fine the radios under the parcel shelf and still works despite getting wattered and mudded the speaker that doesnt work is the on mounted high but to take it off i'd have to take the pick up back off so drilled a hole on one of the bars in the roof and put a self tap screw in with a small speaker. The radio and speakers have been in the car since it was mickeys, so i just think it depends how lucky you are.
