Dover-Boulogne was run by Speedferries, but they went bust, so I do believe that LD Lines have taken that route on, as well. It's a risk, but it may pay off to wait and see if you can get Portsmouth-Le havre, cheaper.

Oh yeah, I knew that! It must have been Dover Dunkirk then.

Yep. We used the LD D-B to fetch fleaBag. They've got two boats - a fast (much nicer than SF's, but similar facilities) and a slow (restaurant etc).

It's a no-brainer. Boulogne's a MUCH nicer port to use than Calais, and the LD service is great. Only drawback is there's nothing at all to do whilst you wait for the boat at Boulogne. No shop, no cafe, nothing.

I fancy a piece of this actually - I've never done a Foreign National, so I reckon it could be a good start.

Bonjour,

As an expat living in France, I would recommend LD Lines.. Pompey-Le Harve, they are without doubt the cheapest company to travel with throughout the year.

I am also really looking forward to French National as well, although with only living about 360 kms away from Salbris, after the great journey to the WM in Most this will seem like a trip to shops!

I might even consider circumnavigating France first to get a decent journey in!

Hi kittens

Cannot be bothered to check previous postings. Who is going to the French national? When is it? I've got a netball tournament 14-16th of May, but if everyone is going to France, I'll give it a miss!

That is all.

xxxxxxx

Well I've just had a nice email from the organisers of the French National. We're number 36!
I've booked the whole week off work, from Saturday 8th till Tuesday 18th May. Should make a groovy little holiday. Not fussed about ferries yet - will wait and see.

Mind you if Char's playing netball, might just go to that! Had a thing about netball kit since school..............

finds dark place to hide so Char can't come a slap me!
