Get rid of the GSA filter and use a cone or similar then just make a breather bottle.

Use the rocker cover/oil filler from the 1222. Job done now get it MOTd and drive it! ;) 8-)

Iused a throttle cable from work-Citroen sell a kit to fit nearly all models. Comes with alsorts of different ends etc and perfect for the job.

Lights are easy for the back-use Land Rover ones. They're dirt cheap and 2CV van lenses fit onto the units if you want them to look authentic ;)

Fuel system? What's the problem you have, is it with the twin tank set-up? Just use the Super tank for the time being.

Any other problems? :ugeek:

Can you quote me happy for a throttle cable, dizzy cap and arm (brown one)?

I have the lights but i have no volts to some of them, a pair of new ones and a collection of old bits and bobs!

It needs a full re-pipe for the fuel plus a t-piece and a return line fitting plus gauges... I know that after 10 miles i should fill up but i want it to tell me!

I still have alot of mystery wires and things that dont work. The indicators for one! just need some daylight and a variety of haynes to read through.

cheers

TIM :!:

Post The DVLA Need a kicking
you might remember I changed the log book from 1015-1222cc with the new engine number and colour for the van all fine and dandy!

Well, since then I put in the 1299cc GSA engine. sent it off again but this time someone is having a joke in the DVLA offices which now means I have no log book!
Just a photocopy...

Hmm, looks like I'll have the same problem with the downsize form 1220 to 602. I wonder if the garage that MOT's it will provide something come the time?

Okay chaps, you both know some friendly specialists that'll do you a letter of confirmation I'm sure? Failing that-I'm sure that you both have the skills on a PC to cut and paste a garages title etc and make your own................ Not that I would ever suggest doing anything improper you understand ;)

Timmy, for future reference-if you swap the engine again, just swap the engine number over. If you look at John Stenhouses van-there's a good chance that the engine in it still has a 1015 engine number! ;)

Yours, Mr certainly not trying to encourage imporoper or illegal behaviour-merely just saying what I've heard of other people doing to get around similar problems ( ;) ) Spanners :ugeek:

I must admit, I had already thought of asking a couple of them but it was something that I was afraid to ask. I (and they) know that nothing sinister is going on but it just seemed a bit cheeky to me, do you know what I mean?

Anyway a quick email has hopefully sorted it out. Thank god/f*&k/allah/theakstons (whoever you pray to) for a community like ours , eh?
