Re: Transfer box.. A new version...
Bit of a re-think on the dog clutch for selection, now on the back of the box. Very tight when I had it underheath at the front. Room for Triplex Chain and top shaft has two support bearings with the output shaft also with two bearings. The extended top shaft has a splined collar to support the weld(cut down from a 14tooth 2cv gear.) So far ..... Parts are Citroen 2cv, Citroen 2cv modified, standard bearings/oil seals, standard sprockets/chain (Dunlop) and some alloy plate, bar, the outsourced work was the tig welding and spline cutting. Re: Transfer box.. A new version...
Rear Diff 95% done. Lots to do on the front transfer add-on assembly. The only change to the standard box is to replace the top shaft. See photos. The 4x4 part wil be bolted on the the back of the gear box. The triplex chain/sprockets to allow the drive to go under the steering tube. Ratio used 13/25 as the lower 15/32 ratio needs a very large sprocket! Attachment:

Re: Transfer box.. A new version...
There is a "saying" Measure Twice, Cut Once....... Would like to use Triplex Chain and Sprockets, but see picture. Engine in standard position, there is only 50mm of space, thats means I can really only use a duplex chain:):) and keep the engine in its current place. If ?? the duplex parts fail, I can build a spacer to allow the triplex parts to fit and then move the engine 15+ mm forward not a lot but does change the drive shaft angles. Attachment:
