Jonathan, I sure there are laws about enjoying yourself this much in your 2cv.
You may want to post your query in technical. First thought isfloat sticking or float level. Really not an expert on this.

Adjusted the tappets on the Ami - a bit of a bugger to get the covers off with the wings still on but managed it in the end - there was only one that was correct - two of the others were too wide and one of the exhaust valves was virtually shut! Sounds much sweeter now and seems to give more engine braking.....

Well this was super fun. Bloody Portuguese built 2cv. I'd swap body tubs, but I've had the floors, sills and all that done so nicely.
Extra annoying really because I've really babied this car for years, I've had it since it was 8 years old & it was garaged before that. Its worked hard but I've kept it really well polished and stuff.

Oh well, I still love it..

Yeah, my thoughts also, thanks. :)

Just arriving in Lerwick, Shetland Islands. Just another 60 miles and 2 ferries, and I'll be home.

Fairly easy to see why it was leaking on the motorway...

When will it end. (Don't worry, I know the answer. Never!)

More of the same. POR15 paint, then Chemical Metal, with which I seem to have managed to recreate the rusted lip on the door.
I'll try to make it pretty once I'm done...

Yes. Had a chat with the driver and he said there's hardly any on the road. The body panels are colour impregnated fibreglass - very well done, look like steel panels even close up, untill you tap them of course! Never seen one of these before, so it was quite an education.
