Quote: A 'Solex style' friction drive. Top quality... Yes and the rear (only?) brake was acting on the friction roller rather than the wheel - wonder how c&u regs here would view that..? But an amazing fabrication, shame it didn't show it finnished.

 Re: 2cv engines in bikes
It needs "the engine out" just to check the valves....

I agree with Joolz. If it was just about practicality you'd buy a c90 and that'd be that. Hooray for interesting ideas and one offs like that.

Don't misunderstand me, I like it a lot.... But looking at the clearance of the engine at the front it has more clearance then at the back (looking at the foto's) the engine isn't in the middle of the hole... that's what's freaking me out when looking at it...... and there are in my opinion no place to put your feet on..... So with some little efford it could be a "real" driving machine, now it just isn't finished for me..... Sorry , I am a "zeikerd"

 Re: 2cv engines in bikes
foot rests near the rearwheels? It's a great machine but not very comfortable to ride i suppose. Seems you have to lay on your belly.

I'm with Geo on that - whole point of 'art' like that is it's right, perfik even, and getting the engine visually out of balance in it's 'ole is like fingernails on a blackboard - that's wot 20 years in an art skool does to your visual sensibilities! Other than that it's amazing.

 Re: 2cv engines in bikes
It does appear to ( sort of) function as a motorcycle, all that's needed is an 'understanding' police escort vehicle to clear a path for its progress. Not bad for 1800 hours of work and 3,000 Euros in parts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQZRGVJ ... 4Q&index=4
