Re: The O/T thread! I agree with Dave, I've never been bright enough or brave enough to set up on my own, but you could make a success of it. I realise the tone of my last post was pretty pessimistic, obviously if its what you want to do I wish you all the best, I'd just spent several hours on Friday hearing about how Rolls suppress their staff and how they treat each other.

I agree with the above, should you get the apprenticeship (with skills like yours there shouldn't be any issues with that!) then maybe use the apprenticeship money to help subsidise starting up doing GRP stuff on your own... that way you get paid to get some qualifications and have something to fall back on if the GRP bit doesn't come off.
