 Re: The O/T thread! Does seem expensive for an AX - we sold ours for £180 a couple of years ago! Good little cars though - nice and simple and between AXs, Saxos and 106s, there are plenty of bits still in the scrapyards. The Galaxy wouldn't really appeal to me despite the power - just too big! We're quite pleased with our cheapy Focus, but it's going to cost a bit extra in timing and fan belts pretty soon... Only 35mpg, but it does shift..!

Re: The O/T thread! Anyone know anything about xantias? The airbag light is flashing and the radiator fans are on full speed all the time. Oh and the mot is Monday and I managed to slash my index finger with a wine glass yesterday so could do without poking about

Re: The O/T thread! Yup, if you have loads of shit on the floors it can tweak the seatbelt pretensioner wires and that makes the airbag light come on. As for the fans? Unplug them for the mot if its a problem (I doubt it is) or just put a switch on the dash, that's what we did with our 106 which had both of those problems.

Just pull it apart and push together. There are 3 connectors IIRC, can't remember which one, but just trace the cable that goes towards the backrest. The radiator fans are always on if you have the heater set on screen demist. This position also puts on the air conditioning to clear the screen quickly.

My brother is currently sitting stark bollock naked in the bath, puking everywhere while my mum trys to sort him out
She had to scoop him up from a party where he had to be put in the recovery position he was so ill, she was so concerened she nearly took him to a and e (shes v highly trained doctor so that would be last resort)
Just dont understand it !

Fans are on regardless of anything else - including engine! Ignition on and on they come full blast dragging small animals through the grill
